Tropical weather at the Holiday Fair

Our Mavo 2 Dual Language Education pupils visited the Holiday Fair in Utrecht, on Thursday, 11th January as part of their BTEC Travel & Tourism course. Whilst the temperatures outside were edging back towards zero, the world’s countries added their own heat and spice to the exhibition in the Jaarbeurs!

Kitted out with their workbooks to get the pupils ready for the next unit – Holiday Planning, they set out to explore all of the continents on offer. Some pupils even joined the Brazilian Carnival dancers on stage as they settled in to explore South American destinations to visit.

Our pupils all returned home with bags of freebees from posters, travel brochures and some promotional goodies from the travel companies present and inspired with plenty of ideas for school and of course, for their next family holidays! Sorry, Mums and Dads…there may be some interesting ideas for the summer holidays this year!
