International careers for our DLE mavo pupils

On Tuesday, 19th September, our DLE years 3 and 4 pupils left Enkhuizen to head to the big city lights of Amsterdam to learn about what they can do with their Dual Language Education vmbo certificates and their BTEC Travel & Tourism certificates. They certainly weren’t disappointed with the offering put on for them by House of Hospitality.
The House of Hospitality works closely with Further Education College ROCvA and offers students “on the job” training. Can you imagine learning all about the hospitality industry by working in all the different departments of leading hotels in Amsterdam? That was what was on offer, from NH hotels, Van der Valk hotels and of course not to forget the Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station and the Hard Rock Hotel, which were two locations used for the visit today, alongside the De La Mar Theater. Pupils were given the grand tour of these iconic hotels and got to ask questions related to the studies that are on offer.
