England calling

With a break of three years, our first years pioneered our new programme for a post-Brexit adventure to South East England. The groups travelled by coach and ferry and stayed in guest families in Bexhill, a great seaside town, fairly central for all of our activities for the week.

The coaches departed very early on Tuesday morning and off they went, our intrepid explorers, off to England to use their DLE skills in English for real. There were plenty of opportunities for the pupils to practice in their host families but also in shops and during the many activities planned for the group!

The first years visited Battle Abbey, to learn about the important Battle of Hastings, Dover Castle to learn about how castles were built and to take in the views of the English Channel and the highlight of the week, venturing into London, seeing the sights and standing outside Buckingham Palace, home now to HM King Charles III.

It was great to have the groups finally travelling again and showing off their English skills after only one year of Dual Language Education. Well done to all of them!
